About

Who are we?

The Cantara Street Elementary PTA is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. We are a volunteer-led organization made up of parents, teachers, families, and community members dedicated to making Cantara Street Elementary an exceptional place for students to learn and grow. Through fundraising, community events, enrichment programs, and family engagement activities, we provide resources and opportunities that help our students thrive while creating a fun, supportive school environment. Our efforts support field trips, educational enrichment programs, student and staff appreciation events, and school-wide traditions such as our annual Fall Festival and Book Fair.

Our Impact in 2025-2026

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we accomplished the following:

  • Raised more than $20,000 through fundraising initiatives, including our weekly on-campus food sale, the Snack Shack, special events, activities, and restaurant fundraising nights.
  • Provided 15 enrichment programs, including five field trips across all grade levels, a piano program, chess club, art education, STEM activities, science assemblies, cultural programs, and literacy initiatives.
  • Served and engaged approximately 345 students and their families, fostering academic growth, creativity, and community connection.
